I followed an acrylics landscape tutorial on YouTube for this one. I enjoyed painting the clouds. They still need a lot of work, but I'm starting to figure it out.
Linzee this is great one, color sceme reminds of famous Van Gogh painting! The distant mountains are such a right value and color so they indeed look so far away! Clouds style is very interesting, especially how you highlighted the edge. High contrast on top of the sky and pinky- lavender closer to the horizon take the eye far away into the painting. This blue is some sort of interesting blue. I wonder what that is.. cerulean maybe?
Thank you Tel - the clouds are my favourite! Sunnylady - the blue is just phthalo blue with a little titanium white and crimson mixed in for the different "layers" of sky. 😊 I'm really happy with the mixes on this one
