Here is an example of a project that's gone off the rails. I get concentrating on the tutorial and try to follow exactly and it ends up a mess. I don't trust myself enough to do my own thing and instead get lost in what someone else sees. It's very difficult to see that this is a giraffe sticking his blue tongue out and not some weird abstract face with two eyes that don't match. *sigh* definitely a paint over.

Sometimes we are our own worst critic. I saw that it was a tongue right away. I know the feeling of being glad to be finished with a painting that you are not "in sync with". It is cute. I can see it hanging in a child's room.
