I did this painting with oils on an 11x14, bark-on, oak panel. This painting most definitely presented some challenges as it is so different painting on something other than stretched canvas. All in all it was really fun to overcome the challenges presented. With the bark still on the panel it gives a unique and rustic look overall.

Nice bridge.I jumped off of a covered bridge similar to that into the Sacco river in Maine in my younger no so wise years.Water was so cold it was a challenge getting back to shore..Great painnting!
Incredibly beautiful painting! Great perspective and colors are nicely controlled. Almighty tree is awesome!
