Being from Southern Arizona, desert scenes are very popular here. This is my first attempt to capture it’s beauty. Done on an 11 x 14 canvas. Used the liquid clear for my under color and it really made it shine.
The sky really challenged me. It took longer than the rest of the painting!

Great work on your first attempt! Using the clear really allowed the colors to pop. The AZ desert is so beautiful.
Wow! I am so impressed with this one. My favorite parts are the sky, the distant purple hills, and the rocks.
