Beautiful! I really like the varied sections of color, and there is so much movement in sky and water. Was there any acrylic under painting? I’d never worked with acrylic until finding Jerry last month and I now consider under painting with acrylic and finishing in oil. What a great and successful lesson! I’ve got my hands full with so much to explore at his online school.
MHK, totally missed this one. This is a beautiful painting and sky and boat with its details! and birds! awesomely done! Nice disappearing horizon line that create a great depth! Do you plan to attend more of J.Yarnell lessons?
Jerry has been very open in that he is a cancer survivor, His area (Skiatook, Oklahoma ) has been hard hit recently with an uptick in Covid so out of an abundance of caution he is postponing in-person lessons but the second he is taking lessons again I'm jumping on a plane it was such a unique opportunity and i learned so much that I can't wait to go again.
I've bought several of his original artwork and he really is amazing
I think that is very wise on his part. I’ve been following Wilson Bickfords situation and it’s serious.
It sounds like Jerry is an incredible human being. Maybe I’ll make the trip sometime.
