I tried to paint along with "Paint with Josh" but somewhere along the line, I got fouled up pretty badly... I wiped this little 8x10 canvas board 3 times and started over... something is just not clicking - although I do see a wave in there, so I am not giving up hope!

I like your wave. It's pretty. I happen to watching one of the paint with Josh now. I'll tell you what I see. Your wave is more of a close-up. Josh gives the wave less space. First, he's using a bigger canvas. Then, the wave + strip of blue and only takes about 1-2ish inch strip across the 18"(?) canvas. Your wave covers around 60% of the canvas. His is like 15% He has more sky and sand. You can paint it however you want, it is beautiful. If you used a larger canvas and/or shrank the wave, it would look quite a bit like his.
I especially like the foam at the top of the wave and along the beach.
