The Belgrade Gate is a prominent historical landmark, which is located in the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. The gate was built in 1753, as part of the Petrovaradin Fortress, serving as one of the main entrances to the fortress. The gate was reinstated after its destruction in 1941. The gate contains multiple passages with both pedestrian and vehicular traffic, and stands as a symbol of the city's liberation.
During World War I, it marked the entry point of the Serbian army into the city on November 9th, 1918. Today, it also stands as the testament of the city's rich history, attracting visitors and serving as a gateway to the fortress.
