Belgrade Fortress is one of the historical and cultural landmarks in Serbia, located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers in the heart of Belgrade. It dates back to the Roman era, and over the centuries, it was expanded and rebuilt by the Byzantines, Serbs, Hungarians, and Ottomans.
This fortress consists of the Upper Town, Lower Town, and the Kalemegdan Park, which was turned into a public park in the XIX century. Within its walls are many monuments and museums, including the Military Museum and the Roman Well.
Today, this fortress stands as a symbol of Belgrade’s long and turbulent history, and offers stunning panoramic views. Today it's a popular destination for many tourists, combining history, culture, and it's one of the scenic parts of Belgrade.
