The Belgrade Fortress is a historic fortress in Belgrade, Serbia. It's located at the confluence of the River Sava and the Danube. It constitutes the specific core of the city. It's one of the important representatives of Belgrade's cultural heritage, protected after World War II, among the other declared monuments in Serbia.
It was declared a Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance in 1979. Since the admission is free, it's estimated that the number of visitors is over 2 million yearly. Today, it's a cultural and historical landmark, which offers stunning views, museums, and the Kalemegdan Park.
