02. DESCRIPTION:

This was my 12th charity event I participated in, and it was organized for Vukasin,
Strahinja and Minja, young children suffering from a rare genetic disorder known
as ADSL (Adenylosuccinate Lyase Deficiency). At the previous event, organized on
November 23rd, 2025, we have raised 1,250,000 RSD (about €10,700). This was one
of the most successful charity events we have organized so far.

Since about $13,000 remained to be collected for the gene therapy, we organized
another charity event for Easter, with the goal of raising the remaining funds and
helping them get one step closer to the gene treatment they urgently needed.

03. THE EVENT:

This charity event took place on April 4th, 2026 at The Church of the Ascension
of the Lord, located in the Klisa district of Novi Sad, Serbia. For this event, I was
accompanied by two of my friends, one from engineering school and the other
from medical school, who were free. For this event, in addition to the drawings
I had been selling, I also brought a new painting on canvas I had painted.

There were many people at the event. There were many stands, mainly offering
food and sweets, but there were other stands selling jewelry and plush toys. As
for me, I wasn’t able to sell anything, as most visitors were primarily interested
in the food. For this event, it was one of my less successful ones. Even though I
wasn’t successful at this event, I still contributed by making a donation.

One of the problems was the wind, which was blowing most of the things from
the table, so I had to put things on top to keep them in place. It wasn't just the
wind blowing from one direction, it was blowing from multiple directions. Also,
the problem was what to display, I mostly went with the city landscapes, but it
wasn't very successful, since most people weren't interested.

04. AFTERMATH:

With this event, we have raised 448.500 RSD (About €3.500), which contributed
significantly to our ongoing fundraising efforts. On April 10th, 2026, we reached
the goal for the gene therapy. It's not over yet, since physiotherapists and other
specialists will still be needed, but overall, we have reached our primal goal.

05. IMPRESSIONS:

As mentioned, I didn't sell anything at this event, because people were interested
mostly in the food. Even though I wasn’t successful at this event, I still contributed
by donating some money. One of the problems was the wind, which was blowing
most of the things from the table, so I had to put things on top to keep everything
in place. The wind was blowing from multiple directions which was annoying.

Also, I had a problem with what to display for selling, I mainly went with the local
city landscapes, but it wasn't very successful. Looking at the my past events, I saw
that the demand for paintings was slowly declining. I also saw that the thing that
usually performs the best at these charity eventes is mostly food.
