02. DESCRIPTION:

After months of studying, I finally found some free time for painting. I'm used to
painting on a paper, but this is my first time painting on canvas. My first painting
on canvas didn't turn out so great, but at least, it was a nice break from studying.
That's all I can say, nothing else.

03. PAINTING PROCESS:

At first, I wasn't sure what to paint. I haven't painted anything in the past several
months, because I was busy studying Software Development. I didn't really have
any ideas of what to paint so I randomly choose recourses I had available, which
were mainly black and white paint. That's when Igot an idea to paint something
at night. The first thing I did was mixing black and white for the gray background.

Then I did the random strokes of white to get some waves and at first, I thought
that it will be the stormy ocean, but I thought that the sky looks empty. I had an
idea to add some black in the front and around the ocean to make it look like a
lake in the middle of the forest. Because the sky looked dark, I used some light
blue paint to make the sky look brighter. Another thing I added was the moon.

I also sprayed a bit of white paint with some brushes for some stars in the sky. I
must say I enjoyed painting the frame, and the signature as well. For the frame,
I painted the edges of the canvas black, then highlighted the frame using some
white watercolor paint I had. The last thing to do was my signature, which I used
some leftover white watercolor paint for highlighting.

04. IMPRESSIONS:

Overall, I have to say that I had some fun while painting. The only thing that was
a problem was that I ran out of some white paint. That's why the painting turned
out darked in the end, but I'd say it's fine, since it was my first time using canvas.
Beside that, I enjoyed painting the lake and also adding the trees around it. Also,
I like how the moon turned out in the end with those stars in the sky.
