Miloš Crnjanski (1893–1977) was a Serbian poet, novelist, and diplomat, known as one of the greatest Serbian authors of the XX century. His works explore themes of exile, nostalgia, and the human condition. They often reflect both his personal experiences and the turbulent history of his era.
His works are marked by a blend of modernist and traditional elements, reflecting a deep sensitivity to the complexities of life and a profound introspective outlook. He served as a diplomat in several European countries, and his life was marked by long periods of exile before returning to Belgrade, where he spent his final years.
