Patriarch Pavle (1914 – 2009), was the Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church from 1990 to his death. He was renowned for his humility, piety, and wisdom. He was also a significant spiritual authority among Orthodox Christians and beyond.
His life was an example of modest service to God and the people, and he was also known for his known saying: "Budimo ljudi" (English: "Be human"). He symbolized peace and unity during challenging times for Serbia and the region.
