He was born as Rastko Nemanjić in the XII century, and played a crucial role in establishing the Serbian church. Also, he played a role in promoting education and culture among the Serbian people.
He's celebrated as a unifying and spiritual leader in Serbian history, known for his wisdom, piety, and contributions to Serbian identity. Today, he's celebrated as the patron saint and one of the most important figures in Serbian history and culture.
I painted it for my school after the professors learned about my art skills. I was offered a job to paint him for Saint Sava's Day, celebrated on January 27th. This portrait was finished at school during the break and professors were satisfied.
I don't mind, I'm 17, but I'm turning 18 in September this year.
