Урош Предић

Uroš Predić (1857–1953) was a renowned Serbian realist painter who was known for his historical compositions, portraits, and depictions of everyday life. As a graduate of the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, he combined precision with deep emotional expression. As a founding member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, he's considered one of the important Serbian artists of the XIX and XX century.

He is considered the most important Serbian painter of realism. He's remembered for his early works, in which depicts the "real" life of ordinary people, and made a great contribution in church paintings. His opus includes a total of 1658 works..
