Zmaj Jovina Street, once part of the tram network in Novi Sad from 1911 to 1958, is the most famous pedestrian promenade in the city. The street stretches from the Liberty Square to the Bishop’s Palace. It's lined with buildings that showcase XVIII and XIX century architecture, alongside cafés, restaurants, shops, and bookstores. Now, it's a vibrant heart of the city, blending history, culture, and everyday life.
The street has long been a central cultural, commercial, and social hub, hosting markets, events, and gatherings throughout the city’s history. One of the notable landmarks is the monument to the beloved Serbian poet, Jovan Jovanović Zmaj, after whom the street is named. Beside this landmark, there are also some of the oldest houses of the city, reflecting the its rich heritage.
Like the history and story. Composition is strong. Like it
