I made this painting from a beautiful picture I saw online (see picture attached). I used Bob’s “Tranquil Wooded Stream” (S26E9) technique for this compo to create the misty woods. First time I make well defined fern (my fav plant 🌿🥰).
I will add a little more mist, once it’s dry, over the the right side woods. I also want to add more foliage that will go over my upcoming layer of mist.
I wanted to share this 1st version with you all for now. I will post the final version once it’s a done deal.

Some painters (like me) are glad they can approach the beauty of a photo, this one exceeds the beauty of the photo and is not even finished.

This is FANTASTIC! I agree that your version is MUCH more interesting than the photo. I love the red tones you added. That water looks like glass!! And those ferns are super. Beautiful glow with the light. This one should be framed when finished for sure!!
