Original Creation

Pink Tree Waterfall - Kevin Hill

Ninoum 14 May 2023

I felt in major love with this painting when I saw it. So I started yesterday (5/12) and just finished (5/13). It was a big bite to chew. But I am happy with it.

I did a few different things… I thought his painting had a lot of nice elements of Monet. But in order to keep the pink tree unique, I did the right sided trees in a different fashion (fan brush). I also did my fern/moss with my fan brush.

I learned sooooo much with this tutorial. It is worth everybody’s time to do at least 1 of Kevin’s.

Wow N! Really love the moss on the waterfall rocks! And what a beautiful tree! Badass!

Just fantastic! Love the beautiful tree and everything else! Just gorgeous!

Thank you so much B!! 😊 It was super fun to paint. Very different than Bob’s & very intricate. I didn’t care how long it would take me, I just wanted to paint that pink tree… and whole thing. Lol!

Thank you very much Sandy! That tree def caught my eye and my heart started to sing when I saw it. Super creation from Kevin!

Bonjour, Nancy. Ingenious work. It Looks Great . The water with the leaves is so cool😎🇩🇪☕️have a nice sunday

Bonjour my friend! 🇩🇪😊 Glad you like it! First time I put leaves in the water. Super easy and simple! Enjoy your Sunday! I am going to bed as you are getting up! So weird! Lol!

Lovely job... Kevin Hill is an amazing artist and you have captured this brilliantly .. congratulations .. keep the great work

Nancy, I like to see you going beyond Bob so much! This one is beautiful. Now, give me some Monet water lilies!

So lovely!
The rocks on the right, the way the water flows, the pink trees. <3

I had actually planned on painting Kevin's Weeping Willow, but I'll do that next weekend now. And if I like this way of painting I might have a go at his Pink Tree Forest2.

Thank you very much David. 😊☀️!

Thank you my friend! It’s fun to explore! You are funny! That would be a super challenge!

Beauriful!

Thank you Titia! Give it a shot! I am sure you will do great at it. I also purchased the weeping willow. It’s a gorgeous compo! I will wait a little longer before tackling that one. I need a rest from Kev! Lol! Even tho I love exploring different techniques and artists, it’s requires lots of focus for now.

Thank you very much Cold!

Trying different things does indeed require lots of focus. At least for me it does. So I tend to go back to Bob whenever I've done a painting using another style/technique.
Bob's paintings, or at least that style, is such a nice quick way to unwind after a busy week of work. <3

That's exactly how I feel too! You expressed my thoughts to a "T"! So today, will be a BR day for sure! ☀️

Well done overall. I like it!

Beautifully done! very nice highlights throughout. I agree, it's something about that pink that draws you in!

My friend this is another beauty, the way you capture the light in your paintings is exquisite, I personally, would sit for hours by that stream and daydream my life away 😊

I am glad you like it Tom! 😀

Thank you very much Pam! A (pink) blossom tree by a waterfall, incredibly eye candy indeed! I got another painting of Kevin that involves another pink tree.

Awww! Thank you Niv! 😊 This little magic spot could do all of us a massive gain in sanity! Lol!!! I totally feel you my friend!

Fantastic job, I love your rocks and the pink tree. I’ve also done this painting and it took me ages - yours is much better than my attempt! My tree is too symmetrical, something I struggle with. You’ll really enjoy the willow painting, it is such a lovely subject and a little different from standard landscapes. Look forward to seeing it.

Thank you very much Em! 😀 It’s very cool to talk to someone who’s done it too. You get the level of difficulty this one was!!!

I just let you a message on yours. 😉

I can’t wait to do the Willow one! I am itching to start it today. I just don’t know how long it will take me. I work later on. I can always finish it after work or tomorrow. We’ll see!

The Willow took me two sittings to complete as it gets quite detailed - probably 12 hours approx. But I paint slowly and fiddle on a lot. Good luck with it 😀

I just finished the willow tree! It took me about 8 hours. I am slow too and fiddle on a lot as well! 😅 I will post it in a moment!
