East Norfolk coast

My friend had a walk in East Norfolk and sent me a photo so I decided to try my first ever seascape! Please ignore the rubbish photograph again, I really struggle under my shed lights 😢

Voy Kay Conqueror of Challenges

This is great Nivek! That rocky beach is so well executed, as are the dark clouds in the back!

Lovely sky, so cool that it’s from a pic that you know.
Maybe a desk lamp that you can angle would help? We have an LED one that my hubby used for paining little men (as I call them) I have nabbed it for painting and taking photos of my work. I’m sure nothing can replace full on natural sunshine, but maybe something that could help!

Nivek, I thought it was watercolor first as it is so incredibly gentle! Impressive work to convey the weather condition that is full of calmness!

Congrats with the first seascape! I hope you will go for more as this way you can escape from struggles with bushes and trees ;) this what I do :)

Jokes aside - very beautiful work!

Thank you all

Nivek regarding the lighting in studio - try to find LED 5500K. Use the lamp that can send the light to the ceiling at the spot where you paint. This is if the ceiling is white to reflect at your easel.

Thank you, my shed is a typical country affair, corregated iron roof! I'll have a look online for one of those lamps though. Thank you
