If there's one thing ( and there's many) I wish I didn't struggle with its mountains, I never feel happy about any I have painted. This one I tried a completely new idea. This was an old and now dry canvas where I'd done some mountains but hated them, today I painted the sky over them, scraped the paint off in a mountain shape the enhanced the light and dark areas with snow colours and shadows. Better but not great. Oil on 12x10" canvas

Hey niv , i think Mountains are still a challenge for everyone . If you paint the Mountain base colour put some drops of Medium de Harlem in it . Makes its dry faster . Wait 30/40 min .and put your Snow on it carefully .Give it a try😎

The mountains are very moody in this painting and have a majestic subtle presence. I like these mountains. :)
