"The THING" (A Tribute)

This is a painting inspired by "The Thing" (Oil painting by Chet Zar & 1982 film by John Carpenter). I painted this on a LIVE youtube broadcast (live recording also available to view); I have a giclee print of Chet Zar's painting on my wall and used it as a reference to help my sketch - but I wanted to make it my own. I kept the middle eye open and "buried" it in a nostril and leaned into more of my own "cartoony" style.
From left-to-right the expressions should read as "Glee"/"Rage"/"Anguish"
The painting was completed on an 8x10 stretched canvas using an experimental concoction of water-mixable oils, acrylics, and water - THE BOX SAID IT WOULD BE OK?!?!?
