My take on Bill Alexander;'s Morning Mountain

PapaD 23 May 2022

Mountains are an ongoing saga, I can get the paint to break but seeing the angles seems to be a mental block. I also have to remember to see the finished scene first so i don;'t have to paint over thick paint, mud city. This was fun though and learned quite a bit from Tom Alexander at Alexander Art, 16 x 20 stretched

Very nice! Love the sky!

Your mountains look great! I am sure you will get only better at handling them from this point forward.

Thank you both, you are always kind

I wanted to add that following Bill for mountains make look mountains more realistic as he uses gray base that allows to create distance. Also his mountains are a bit more difficult as the top is not just a triangle but actually represents something more naturally looking. I did not nail mountains with knife at all, so I always wish everyone be more successful than I am.

I agree, my mountains, bananas mashed at the bottom or whisk brooms tied together :)

Beautiful :). I saw that video if we’re talking about the same one - Tom Alexander. I appreciated his color mixing from the three he started with.
