This morning I went out with the MOPAPA (Missouri Plein Air Painters Association). We met up at the Park near the Piper house in historic Tower Grove Park for some outdoor painting. I selected watercolors for this excursion. This only the 2nd watercolor I did this year. It is approx 10x14 on Arches paper.
I think oils are easier/more forgiving. I took an excellent community college course about 20 years ago taught by true expert.... I'm not on that level!
Everyone says oils are forgiving, but being an acrylic painter all these years, I am finding oils a bit of a struggle for me… I tend to mud-mix! I just keep at it hoping things will click for me. But all of your paintings are beautiful.
So pretty does look like a Monet!
I miss Tower Grove park, St. Louis was my home for 20 years. 1982-2002.
Beautiful watercolors!

Beautiful! Love the water lilies. Has a Monet feel. I have never tried watercolors, are they difficult to pick up?
