Had a bit of trouble with this one because my paint decided to betray me.
I ran out of the official Bob Ross cadmium yellow color and so I decided to order some Winsor & Newton oil color. I use those colors a lot because, most of the time, the colors are thicker and drier than others that are available to me.
But the cad yellow that I order was more of a crap yellow. It is not even yellow, it's more an orange and it's more oily than usual.
So for a lot of this painting I was an angry mud mixer. Next time I think I will leave it on some cardboard for 20 minutes before I start painting so it thickens up (I think I will do with every color tbh).
I think you made a smart decision to keep the water nice and dark. It improves the contrast of the composition and make it more readable! Nice work!
@RebeccaJ and @dracula thank you very much! :)
