I’m inspired by another artist here who noted their displeasure in their evergreen. I think it’s important to post our work aand share our thoughts with others about what we like and dislike about our painting. I love my painting yet my evergreen isn’t what I wanted it to look like. I also can’t love the grey effect of my lavender hues. I wonder what happened? I used ultramarine blue and cad red dark. Any tips, fellow art friends?
I think this is beautiful! I love the colors!
Very nice. Trees and soft colors look great.
This is so soft with these warm colours! I find it beautiful! What you mean with something is bothering you, may that be the yellow in the snow? perhaps too much yellow in contrast to the lavender colour, so that the yellow is "overtoning" the lavender? I find the lavender very delicate and so nice, personally I can't find any problem with your lavender! Great painting and I love it!
Very nice, I love those soft colors.
Outstanding!
Looks great! My tip would be put soft shadow blue scattered on evergreen that can bring the small one forward away from large evergreen and then small bit on tree on the right to balance the color- perhaps the trunk of the right side tree?
Thank you all! I decided to make a new foreground on the left. I agree the yellow was a bit much.
