Grandeur of summer (first time painting) Re-Upload

Sander02 10 Mar 2021

Re-upload because the lighting is better on this one.

Hi everyone, let me introduce myself.
My name is Sander i'm 21 years old and new to this community. I made this painting yesterday It is my very first one and i am looking for some feedback from experienced painters.

I couldn't add the Rock in front or at the side of the water. And also the snow doesn't really look how i imagined. I think It could be because i don't have the right painting knife or i don't know how to work with them that well.

(Also i didn't have liquid white so i made some with oderless terpentine, but it was a little too thin so i had to use more layers of paint than i wanted to)

Please let me know what you guys think 😊

Hi sander! I’ve been painting for a few years, and have learned that evergreens tend to look better when there are smaller portions of the trunks showing. But this is fantastic for your first time! I use the Bob Ross branded painting knife, and I would recommend it.
