Hi i painted this for my son's birthday. I had never heard of Cthulhu so I'm way out on a limb here. It was definitely a different sort of challenge and I guess that's what I love about learning how to paint using the bob ross tutorials. I not only found something to pass the time (im a 2nd time widower)but whether I'm good at it or not I've found something I love to do. I think that Bob Ross would love the fact that his shows are still inspiring people to not only try it but to build up the confidence to try something totally out of their comfort zone such as this was for me. Before I read your comment about your painting, I thought, "Wow someone really did a great job painting Cthulhu, how impressive!" So, yeah, I'd say you knocked this one out of the park! Had to send a photo of it to my sister because she is an even bigger Lovecraft fan than I am.

Thank you so much! To tell you the truth I did think I had a chance because they were some super nice paintings to choose from. I am humbled and appreciate all the wonderful comments. Cthulhu is a mind breaking deity from H.P. Lovecraft's books and stories. Only looking at him would shatter a human mind in thousand pieces. I think you've managed to capture this pretty fantastic!
