Original Creation

Imaginary bridge

Sunnylady 26 Dec 2019

This painting is done following Kevin Hill. But I tried to do some of Bob techniques for the water and for the sky. I learned quite a lot and it was not easy. I see problems after I finished. But my father asked for something without my favorite mountains, and I fulfilled his challenging request. I love orange and yellow versus dark blue sky. Grass was challenging. I wonder how it will look when it dries under sun light hanging on the wall. I had to do glazing to neutralize background. Size 50 by 60 cm. Multiple brushes.

Voy Kay Conqueror of Challenges

Excellent painting. The bridge really jumps out amongst others!

Thank you, Voy Kay!

That's really nice. I can see the Kevin Hill style in this painting. I really love how it all turned out - the realistic colors, the autumn sky, the highlight on the distant trees, the lovely bridge with its reflection, the orange autumn foliage, the gentle water flowing. I've long considered following along to another artist's video. Evidently, looking at this fantastic painting, the skills acquired from following along to Bob transfer, so this gives me hope!

Lightsnow it certainly worth doing to challenge ourselves and try new ways to Express ourselves. At the end of the day one will combine what fits his soul and heart and will develop it in one's own style. We have just started this path.

this is incredible!

Thank you!

I found it. This is beautiful. I really like the fall colouring all around. The distant trees and the various shades of orange in the nearby trees. And great job on the bridge too. I don't know Kevin Hill but I am going to look into it now. You really do wonderful paintings.

There are Kevin Hill, Igor Sakharov (not many translations to English).
Of course I recommend Bill Alexander as teacher of Bob. He is really good about light in the paintings that we do not see a lot from Bob.
Then there is FabriFlora channel about flowers and birds.
Also lady from UK Mazart channel, if I am not mistaken. She has everything.

Thanks for your kind words!

I remember watching Bill Alexander too... However I rather enjoyed watching Bob way more. Im going to look up the other names that you said. Thanks for the info.
