Morning guest

Sunnylady 04 Apr 2023

This is rather quick painting. 2 hours only. Size is A4.
I woke up in the morning to get some breakfast, it was around 7. Looking out of the window I saw how sun was visiting our backyard with its warmth painting the light and shadows with very interesting shapes. I just knew I had to paint it too. I was debating if I get the same light next day to paint outside… and took a picture. Not only 30 min later the sun light was different, next couple of days it was rainy. I painted from the photograph to try to save this warm impression I had from that delicious “breakfast for my eyes”.

Oils on very low quality canvas.

It is great

Really pretty morning light!

@Coldethel, @paintingblondie - thank you very much! I will try to fix couple of issues tomorrow or Thursday.

Love it! Very effective.

I like this a lot Sunnylady! You have a nice morning view. Very peaceful! Painting is very well executed!

Very nice Sunny!!

@Barbara, @Tony - thanks!
@Ninoum - thanks a lot! I just added fixed version to move palm behind the shed since I missed the right spot where it actually grows.

You captured it wonderfully, and such a beautiful palm!

@FVG - thank you! I think palm became the star of the painting (unintentionally though…). Can you tell me please how your eyes traveled across the painting and what you think is most important part of the painting?

You're welcome! The sun shining through onto the the grass and fence lead my eye to the palms similar colored highlights. I'd say all of the detail in the fence and siding are eye catching also.
