Gosh Sunnylady you have left me breathless again. And water is the main theme here, you should enter it it the new event!! Such an incredibly profound message!

@doggymommee8301 thank you so very much. I have another idea where actually will be water to participate in event. I hope to start tomorrow the one for the event. I just need to do few more sketches to sort out the perspective and focus point. I hope it will turn alright as there are things that going to challenge me quite a lot. :) let’s see what the other one will turn into.

Voy Kay Conqueror of Challenges

All those trees cut to build new canvasses for oil painting artists .....

The water was gone, so the trees had to go next ..... it's Koyaanisqatsi! A civilisation's disease!

That bedding is so real with the perfect shadowing and highlights!

Thanks Voy, I am very happy that bedding has turned recognizable.
The deep message (you are very right!) is about resources for the future generations and the questions behind it.

Terribly sad, beautifully executed. The poignant, single dead tree highlights the tragic waste of an ocean of barren desert perfectly. Reminds me of gravestones and the Lorax, my favourite book as a young child. (we have no need for the thneeds!)

N Kav thank you for your beautiful poetic words to describe the scene ! I'll try to find that book. Also there is recent cartoon. I think I'll check both of them!

Sadly this is what mankind is doing every day to our breathtaking planet, I hope that those who find this disturbing ( the scenario not the painting as that is wonderful) show their children in the hope that we can stop destroying our home and more importantly the homes of the little creatures that can't stand up for themselves. Very thought provoking and stunning piece πŸ™

Thank you Nivek1971! Thank you for thinking about it ! This is what I hoping to achieve with this disturbing painting. You read my idea absolutely correct!

N Kav, thanks for the Lorax. I finished watching the movie just 10 minutes ago. I hope people watch it too with their kids.

dracula Power Painter

Wow, I am really enjoying your gouache work. This composition is very bleak and effective. The colors are very striking and the perspective draws you way back into the horizon. Great work! You're on a roll!

Thank you Dracula! Idea was to use river bed as line to invite viewer to follow it and let brain to expand vastness of the empty lands to the horizon and further.
