Pandemic and terror: How many more?

Sunnylady 02 Aug 2020

One of the days after checking WHO this picture came to my mind as death numbers increase every day and hospitals are full to extremes...

Oil. Canvas panel 21 by 30cm apx.

Thank you Tom! I was watching numbers increase from end of January. It took a psychological toll on me but also gave me a bit of understanding of myself. I really think that this shall talk to every viewer in the world as we are all in it.

About your idea to media - I dont think they will like it as they tend not to draw such extremely tough pictures as populations are already way to tired of the pandemic and want their lives back...

Great painting. Timely and appropriate.

Thank you a lot Lightsnow!

This painting is quite well done. It makes me more sad than afraid. I believe art is meant to awaken some sort of emotion and this definitely does do that. More than one emotion actually. I hope you and yours are staying healthy. ❤

@Froggie, thank you! You are very kind. One of the relatives got some fever, it made all of us nervous. But thanks God test came negative.

I really worried that some people do not follow the rules of masks and distancing as we are all still in this craziness and I guess for few more months.
Stay safe and keep your family safe!

Very powerful work. The use of perspective is very good at communicating the depth of the problem! Well done!

Thanks Dracula! Vanishing point is taking us to this hall and no one knows how long it is. Also Death is inside the first hallway and that wall with sign asks the question :"Will she step in new hallway?" Viewer is separated by that border without the door to stay a bit far, but still feel closeness of the events. Also this is to promote thought "what I can do no to get in that hallway?"
