This is based on Paul Ranson's (CRI) youtube tutorial. Started on a black canvas, liquid clear under, and then alizarin crimson in the middle, ultramarine blue/alizarin crimson mix in the sides, and pthalo green/cad yellow hue mix in the corners (w&n artisan paints). The green/yellow mix was a real shot in the dark, both of them were supposed to be transparent, and it worked out in the end. Lovely deep green! Then just add white with a fan brush in a drilling fashion. Fade out the the clouds with a soft brush, then lastly sprinkle some stars with liquid white.
I'm really happy how this turned out!
Afterthought: Maybe it'd been better if the bottom left clouds had also been more parallel to the center cloud, I feel like they break the rhythm of the piece a bit by being perpendicular?
Turned out great!
