Thanks Dirk. I was going to say you must be too young then I realised it wouldn't have been aired in Germany. Sorry I tend to forget that members here are from all over the world Bill and Ben were puppets on strings made from plant pots, each episode came with a little story, kids loved it. We watched it on our monochrome tv which my Dad had to tune in. He would have to smack it on the top to stop the picture rolling. Often we'd have to put up with watching it constantly flickering, your eyes sort of adjusted to it. Sometimes I think that's why I can read upside down🤣

"Flobalob Little Weed" - or something like that... In those days nobody cared about seeing the black cords controlling the puppets. Great reminder!

Thanks Colin, they had their own funny language didn't they. Funny thing is us kids could understand it🤣. I was tempted to add the strings but I'd never get them thin enough.

very fun! The grays make it feel like something from that era (although I don’t recall seeing it -it feels familiar and I am old enough! haha)

Caroline it was a dabble in value as much as anything, using just black and white gesso, some parts worked and some parts didn't, I'm not even bothered anymore that I can't draw, I just upload my stuff now, warts and all. I sent my 4 year old niece an episode of bill and ben and to my surprise she loved it. It shows decades don't matter, kids are kids. I'm a kid on a pension🤣
