This is Japanese/Chinese Character 庭, meaning garden. I combined Japanese Calligraphy with Japanese ink-painting to create this work.

what is the surface material? It looks like rice or tissue paper from the photo which I can imagine being difficult to work with. This would make an awesome wall hanging for my living room!
It is Japanese Calligraphy Paper. And I plan to have it made into a wall hanging, actually. :)
