Autumn is at its best when the trees are coloured and the sun is shining. Which does not happen very often over here, so I decided to paint a sunny autumn scene.
Based on a photograph found on the internet.
Wet-on-wet techniques are used.
You can really feel the sun and shadows! Super nice!

For all I know it could have been taken at Lake George. The original photograph had some hills in the background, on the other side of that lake, perfectly fitting for the Adirondacks area. (Yes, I've been there, but I did not take this photograph)
I left out the hills, because no hills here where I live. And now it looks like it could be a place in the Netherlands.
