Original Creation

Colorado River Canyon - Bill Alexander

Tom0779 15 Jan 2024

Actually I painted this in November, but wanted to add some highlights after it dried. Last week I discovered that I never did it.
So I thought that would be perfekt to finish it last weekend.
I am quite happy with the strong contrast which makes the light spot really bright. Something I really learned from Bill.

Good Morning, Tom . Sehr schöne Variante. Great work 👍🏼🇩🇪

Great atmosphere. Simple but effective scene. <3
The highlights sure do add to the atmosphere.
"No dark without light" as Bob said. And it is true.

Beautiful Tom. I love the sky!

Beautiful job here! Love the details and the light flowing over the scene!

This is gorgeous Tom! I love the highlights you added. I also love the amethyst color - I have been in a purple mood lately!

Nice version Tom , but (this time) not the first one!!

Oh Wow, that's just beautiful Tom....Well done!

WOW! This is incredible Tom! This look so realistic! I love this painting!

Thank you Dirk, glad you like this one.

Thank you Titia, well Bill says that too, i.e. 'No light without dark'. This is a basic rule to follow, I totally agree with.

Thank you Tomi. The skies from Bill are always very nice to create.

Thanks as always Sandy!

Thank you abha!

Glad you like it Cold!

Thanks Brian, your version of this episode is my favorite so far.

Thank you Jon for your support.

Thank you Lc.

Thank you Pam. I can't totally remember but this purplish color was a mixture of a lot of single colors, red, yellow, black and blue I guess.

Thank you Jos! I think there are a lot of episodes I did not create as the first one :) Especially you and Cronenberg89 aka as Brian do a lot of Bill paintings. And you often do some before I do them :)

Thanks Terry, Glad you like it!

Thank you Nancy. I thought this one needed highlights after it dried to get more realism. I guess it payed.

Great painting!

Thank you Jin!
