Hunters Cabin - Bill Alexander

Tom0779 12 Sep 2023

This one is out of the book β€šThe magic of oil painting IIIβ€˜ by Bill.
The video is also available on YouTube. A very nice episode by Bill with a lot of different elements. I tested several new colors on the little house here (emerald green and Lukas red).
I also added a bit of red spots in the foreground which shall represent flowers.

Cool Cabin colors., Very intense, Great Scene πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ή

Thanks a lot Dirk!

Gorgeous Tom! 😍 Those new colors are awesome! They fit right in this scene! I love how you "pasteled out" (new wordage. Lol!) the sky colors from your new colors! And once again, the shadowing of your house and cast shadow of your chimney make this painting next level! The smallest details happens to be some of the most important ones!

Great work! The cabin is really well done :)

Love this one...the cabin is outstanding! Love all your details...so good!

Love this scene! Beautiful mountains and misty atmosphere in the mid ground!

Thanks a lot Brian!

Many thanks Pietro!

Thank you Tomi, I'd love to be called Bill Jr , LOL

Tom, do you own any Alexander brushes? Just got his 1 inch and it is so much easier to create his style of trees with it.

Tomi, no I do not have any brushes by Bill :( They aren't sold here in Europe and to import it from the USA (if possible, which I don'T know) would cause so high shipping costs :(
I use Bob Ross brand which I got from my Bob Ross starting kit (this made me start oil Painting) which I got as a christmas present several years ago.
I think I can do the same with the Ross brushes but I would love to have the Alexander equipment (brushes, oil paints, etc..) as well as an original landscape (no still life) by him for my personal Art collection...

The colors are magical on this one Tom. One of my faves of yours for sure.

Thanks Tony, emerald green from Lukas is a very vibrant one ;)
