Jagged peaks at sunset - Bill Alexander inspired

Tom0779 22 Jun 2023

I painted this today evening after an original painting by Bill Alexander. I love his red sunset paintings and wanted to try one with liquid clear.
For my taste this is too intense. I doubt I will ever use the clear again for these kind of paintings. However these are jagged peaks reflecting into the lake.
Oils on canvas panel 16 x 24 in (40 x 60 cm)
I wish everyone a happy weekend!

Just beautiful Tom.

Thank you Tomi!

I'm glad I read your descriptions before I commented. I love the bold colors!!! I think this is what really makes it.

Really loving your Bill Alexander paintings Tom, this is another beauty

Hey Tom, I like it. I don't think it's too intense either. Great reflections๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡น

Thanks Jessie. Forgot to mention that no blue has been used in this painting!

Thank you Niv. Bill became my favorite art instructor. There is no tutorial for this one. I did it free after a painting I saw in a book from him.

Thanks Dirk. Normally I use white to dull the sky a bit. But different people have different tastes. ๐Ÿ˜€
