Original Creation

Lakeside Sunrise - Buck Paulson

Tom0779 14 Jul 2023

This is my second recreation of a Buck Paulson episode from Alexander Art. I think this is a beautiful scene and I love the monochromatic hue it has.
Buck uses soft brushes a lot (bunny brushes) but I don’t have such a thing. So mine might look a bit different. Although I think the outcome isn’t too bad. Took me 120 minutes to finish it.
As I need to work at weekend I won’t be able to paint an other one yet this week.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Goodness gracious Tom! That’s soooo beautiful! A real masterpiece! The softness of it and the colors are in perfect balance & harmony! I have a real crush on this one! 🥰

I love this. You really captured the mood.

Really gorgeous! Love the colors!

Very beautiful

So beautiful! this has been on me and mom's list for a while we love us some Buck lol. I find some mop brushes can be used as bunny brushes... I know I look like a weirdo standing in the brush Ile at the paint store feeling up the brushes lmfao.

oh wow this is amazing one!! really tempted to try this one out already 🤯

Thank you Brian, I am really glad you like it.

Many thanks for your support Jessie.

Grazie Pietro, greetings to Italy!

Many thanks Lc!

Thanks Nancy, the softness is what makes this episode very tricky. It looks much easier then it is. I am so glad you like it.

Danke Dirk, Grüße nach NRW!

Many thanks Tomi for your continued support!

Thanks a lot Sandy.

Many thanks Coldethel!

Thanks Sherina, I have seen you both created several Buck episodes. He is a nice guy, I guess his technique is quite different to Bobs or Bills.
I have found an old goat her brush which does the job quite well once I applied little color with the normal bristle brushes. So I can do Bucks episodes as well.
Thanks for your support!

Many thanks Jim. I have mentioned it above in my comment on Nancy, this is much harder to do than it looks. Soft paintings need some training - I originally come from watercolor and there I got a lot of practice with these soft ones. So maybe it is a bit of an advantage.
But I am glad you like my version.

I have only recently discovered Bucks work, this is beautiful Tom

Thanks Terry, yes Buck has some very nice tutorials. I will sure follow a few more.
