1/2/23 - Almighty Practice VII
The idea on this one was practice a stream and foreground composition. I think I failed at both. I absolutely love the top half of the painting. The bottom half pretty much sucks. The stream is sub standard. My composition skills are pretty much in their infancy I'm afraid. My foliage placement looks like it was just tossed in haphazardly, which they were. I give myself an F on the foreground composition and a D on the stream.
Does this get me feeling bad?? NOPE! I am determined to get this right, and practicing is the key. That and the inspiration I get each and every day of being a member of this group and looking at all the fine paintings posted by you.
18x24 canvas. Painting #70 in my awesomely fun Bob Ross experience. (fun fact: 28 of the 70 are original compositions, rest are mainly Bob Ross paintings). Never created a painting in my life before Feb 1, 2022. I am really enjoying the journey.
My standard photography disclaimer: As usual picture quality kinda sucks and the painting is much sharper when looking at it.. Still not good at photographing my paintings. I just can't seem to get the camera to focus correctly.
