This ended up being a series of 3 related paintings. This is #1 in the series: "Happy Valley".
My main purpose when I started this one was to practice making fluffy clouds as mine are generally not that good. I then added the brown mountain.
Another area of my paintings that I would like to improve is my mid level of the painting. I am super happy with how this one came out and the rolling hills down to the valley below came out nice. I also like the foliage a lot in my mid ground.
I just added a couple bushes and a couple evergreens and a dead tree and the cabin in the foreground. My foreground work is probably my weakest part of painting.
Overall, I am preftty happy with the way this turned out, but I see areas I need to improve in all phases of my journey. This is when I decided that I would paint another version of this painting.
