Joy of Painting Elements: #1 - Bushes ... First in a series

A wacky idea of mine LOLOL.

This is just one of my practice panels. I used a black gesso-ed 18x24 canvas board to practice making bushes. This came out so colorful, I like it more and more every time I look at it. The picture does not do the painting justice. Crappy pic.

I am going to create a series of practice panels like this, for example panels for mountains, clouds, evergreens, leaf trees, waterfalls, barns, rocky shorelines, etc. etc.

I am thinking that is a neat way to display different individual elements of a painting and the practice never hurts.
