Awesome mountains in both painting posted. But here you have these awesomely done stones in front. I love how the tree line recedes to show the view down and works like a frame to that big mountain and creates depth. How long did it take you to paint this painting? My experience with KH style is around 5-6 hours. Did he have a photo reference? I am asking as mountain and clouds are somewhat in the shadow compare to the front which is brightly sunlit.
