Eighth painting! I've been wanting to try my hand at flowers, and what better one to start with than the rose! Pretty pleased with how this turned out, although after spending so much time on the rose itself I pretty much gave up on making the lighting on the leaves make sense lol
Great rose! Don’t worry about highlights you can add them any time you feel you rested enough and feel they are needed.
Beautiful rose! Sunny lady’s right you can always go back later. Personally I like it without the highlight on most of the leaves. It draws the eyes more to the flower petals where there’s more detail.
