Omg. That is great!! Your details at the front of your painting is amazing. This looks exactly like a pond now.

Greens and flowers are perfect! This looks way better without the waterfall. You know, now you are unstoppable because now you can fix things in your paintings. This is important thing/lesson. It will give you more freedom.

And to think that you're not even painting for a month at this point!

Thank you all for your comments I think it looks better couldn't believe i ran out of room to paint the waterfall :). I was sitting in the garden this afternoon and something reminded me something that bob ross said about just scrape it off and start again. so i went in the shed and touched the paint and it was still wet so i thought i will just scrape the bottom off and try and patch it up. I was quite surprised how easily it all came off. Mush in a bit of the black stuff and lob some spring plants in .. waterfall gone !! its amazing what you can do with paintings they are quite tough aren't they .. I definitely prefer it but another good lesson !! I will keep going while we are in lockdown .. i really struggle with rocks and the pallet knife thing !! Thanks for your helpful comments..I have definitely found a new pastime ...... enjoying it

Excellent idea to alter this painting! I really really love that hint of spring in the vegetation. Great job!!

Voy Kay Thank you for your kind comments .. i just couldn't look at the waterfall any longer , but i really like square canvasses. i very much enjoy looking at your paintings they are lovely .. I am trying to think of something else to paint today.. I will see if I come up with anything ... there are only so many water, mountains and vegetation you can do .. I have not tried a snow image so I might try that later .. thanks again .. stay safe at this difficult time.

Dear David, integer comments like yours is what motivates me today!
Today I have two paintings planned. One is already finished yet contains slight nudity so have to wait to upload that until Felix finds a way to post those. The other will be a deer (silhouette) in the forest. That will be uploaded in a few hours.
Have fun and stay safe!

PS: I can recommend 'Evening's glow'. It is not a difficult one but will give you plenty of practice for a glowing sky, big evergreens, and an easy cabin. Add a fence if it were to look a bit empty (like I did!). Happy painting!!

Thanks Voy Kay I will look forward to seeing your new paintings and also for the pointer to Evenings glow, I assume that is a Bob Ross paintin., I will have a look at that, although I sometimes just make stuff up, like leaking ponds :) !!. I have never tried snow so will look at evenings glow first.. enjoy and happy painting to you too !

Yes David, 'Evening's glow' is a Bob Ross painting. It's not a winter scenery but thought that you might be thrilled to paint a glowing sky! The trees on the right were not to my liking so I changed them to evergreens in my creation. And added a fence!
Good luck!!

The fact that you went back and "fixed" what you thought was wrong exemplifies the "we don't make mistakes, only happy accidents" motto. This is one major reason why wet on wet painting is so fantastic. You weren't pleased with something, you changed it up, and your painting looks even better after. Great work! Very inspiring!

So good! I applaud your work here! Thank you for sharing - - both versions. 👍

light snow and froggie thank you so much for your very kind comments,, I am enjoying learning to paint while in lockdown. definitely found a new pastime in these difficult times,, something positive out of this difficult time .. stay safe and happy painting too...
