davidF 24 Apr 2020

You may be wondering why I painted another one of these , well I sent a picture on pond fixed no leaks to my 85 year old mother who is in isolation and she asked me if I would paint her something like it so I did another one today .. I didn't run out of room this time !!! ... will try something different next but enjoyed painting it for my mum .. i was pleased she wanted something and hopefully will cheer her uo at this difficult time. I have no idea how long they take to dry before I can send it... Happy Painting !! still having fun ...

SO HAPPY you added that spring feeling again in your painting! Your mother will be very please d for sure!!

As for the drying, that takes weeks up to months, mostly depending on the thickness of your painting. After a few weeks, gently feel if it's dried or not!
I have some painted in March that are already completely dry and some painted in January that still aren't dry!

Thanks Voy Kay .. i use very little paint so hopefully it will dry quickly ,,, the only thick bit is that mud stuff... i will have to see i will go and check one of my first ones because that was about 4 weeks ago .. thank you happy painting .. i ordered an easel today .. i hope that will help as i have painted flat on a table up until now ! gives me back ache leaning over it ....

Gosh, flat painting??? My back would be ruined in under 5 minutes.
You will see that it's not difficult at all to paint from an easel. BE AWARE that you need to set the canvas very tight into the easel when you are tapping, cause that is really close like hammering. It happened a few times to me that my canvas jumped out of the easel while I was tapping with force!
For the rest, you will love your new painting position AND view!! Good luck!
