I wanted to try and paint some old trees, saw a monet picture with some in so used composition and made it up after that. Enjoyed painting the old trees. need more practice but fun

Such realistic colors! Great texture of the bark and road and nice impressionistic brush strokes in the foliage and on the ground.

What size is the canvas?

Hi Felix, it's not a canvas its a piece of a3 paper. I don't have my new easel here so painting on the table again !

I have uploaded another photo in normal light, doesn't really look much different but doesn't look like actual painting either ! oh well I will try and finish it later today

Wonderful trees! The highlights are amazing and I love the multicolored leaves on the ground.

Lilikins Thank you for your kind comments . I though the leaves looked a bit like someone had split a packet of M and Ms.
