I didn't like the composition of the original painting I did but enjoyed painting the vegetation, I have painted 20 paintings now and am still amazed how splodges of colour and can give the impression of nature. Will keep trying to improve and understand. I posted this as I have just been for a walk and the shrubs are all starting to flower for spring in the UK and it reminded me of the painting .. maybe there is light at the end of this dark tunnel !!!
It is so good I thought it was a photograph at first glance. Wonderful.

This is fabulously realistic, the colouring, the light and shade. If there was a competition for foliage, this would win!
