I've been reading William Faulkner all summer and wanted to make something that gives me that kind of vibe. This relatively quick painting does that for me.

Oooo I love this! Just enough subject matter to suggestive of the scene. I love you light vs dark - makes the fire so effective. Love the looseness of the strokes. Excellent painting.
