Over the last few weeks I've watched several cool, old movies made in Finland:
- Eight Deadly Shots (1972)
- The Witch (1952)
- The White Reindeer (1952)
I have never been to Finland, but the landscape photography and environments in these films inspired me to make this relatively quick, chilly, little painting. It's not a real place, but just an impression that gives me a similar feeling to what I saw in the movies.
This painting is 10x8 inches on canvas-laminated panel

Lovely composition!
Looks great Count, went to Norway a few years back...similarly beautiful country
So fantastic - mysterious, quiet - kind of spooky, but I can't stop looking. Wondering what is in those trees? Very serene.
